Day Camp

Day Camp, for ages 7-12

July 6-9, 2026 (4 days only (optional Wednesday overnight)) Daily Drop-off: 8:00-9:00am; Daily Pick-up: 4:00-5:00pm; closing program & family meal on last day
First child $TBD, siblings $TBD** (Learn about scholarships and discounts)

Registration will open on January 6

**If you are registering a Day Camper who is eligible for the sibling discount, please note that due to some technical difficulties the $25 discount will probably have to be applied manually by Highland staff. If the discount does not appear on your account at the time of registration, please wait until you receive your confirmation email from the registrar and check that invoice to verify that the sibling discount has been applied correctly.

The day camp experience is designed to give younger campers the chance to experience a wide range of Highland activities, including a daily Bible lesson and worship time, a variety of outdoor activities (swimming, creek time, games, etc.), and lunch over a campfire. A morning and afternoon snack will also be provided by the camp.

An optional Wednesday night sleepover is available; campers who sign up for this will spend Wednesday night in a cabin under the supervision of two counselors. There will be an additional  fee for campers who wish to participate in the sleepover. You can opt in to the sleepover when registering your child, or let us know no later than Tuesday of Day Camp week if your child wants to participate in the sleepover.

Camper Groups – Because Day Camp serves a wide age range, campers will be grouped by similar ages for daily activities. In order to avoid disappointment or confusion, please inform your child that he or she will be grouped with other campers by age (ages 7 and 8 together, and ages 9 to 12 together).

Please note: Our general policy is that campers may request to be cabin mates if they are within a year of each other’s ages. In the case of campers who meet that requirement but are in two different Day Camp age groups (i.e. a pair of campers who are 8 and 9), it would require an age override to move one of the campers into the age group with their friend. This is usually possible, but does depend on where the birthdays fall for those particular campers. You will need to contact our staff to request the age override at the time you are registering in order for an age override to be applied.

Due to different camper-to-staff ratios for the various age groups, Day Camp may fill up for some ages faster than others; it’s possible that we may hit waitlists for one age group even while there are spaces still available for campers in the other age groups.

Bus Transportation – We will likely have a bus transportation option for Day Camp again this year. More info to come as we work those details out.
