Church Match Program
Information for Churches
Highland's Church Match Program is designed to help churches partner with us to keep camp an affordable option for families. There are scholarships and discounts that are available to all campers, but we invite you to specifically aid families in your congregation or community. In this program, 50% of any dollar amount your church promises towards a camper’s tuition at Highland Summer Camp will be matched by Highland, up to $50 per camper. That means your financial support goes further.
Each church who participates in the program is able to customize their partnership to suit their church budget and the number of potential campers in their congregation or community. Churches can pledge a specific dollar amount per camper, or a percentage of each camper's fees. You can even pledge different amounts for different circumstances! For example, you can offer $100/camper to every family in your congregation AND have a separate code that covers 50% of the fees for families in your community who have more of a financial need, if that is what makes sense for your church.
Here's how it works:
- As a church, decide the amount of financial assistance you can offer to each camper in your congregation or community. We recognize that every church situation is different, and we are very willing to work with you to set up customized Church Match codes that meet your needs!
- A church representative should complete the form below to let us know your church’s plans.
- Highland will set up your custom Church Match code(s) in our registration system, and will supply the church representative with those codes and simple step-by-step instructions for using them during online registration.
- The church representative can pass along the Church Match code instructions to the appropriate families in your church or community.
- Families who receive the Church Match information can register for camp at any time and use the church's codes. When registering online, the Church Match discounts will be applied immediately when the code is used, so families can see right away what is covered by the church, what is matched by Highland, and what remains for the family to pay. Your church does not have to collect registrations or fees; Highland will track Church Match code usage through our registration system.
- Highland will send an invoice to your church representative at the end of the summer camp season (around August 1) for the campers who used the Church Match codes that summer. You will only be charged for those campers that used your codes AND actually attended camp. If you want to check on your church code usage prior to the end-of-summer invoice, you may also request periodic updates, which we are happy to provide.
- Your church can submit payment to Highland upon receipt of the invoice in August, and then start thinking about whether you want to make any changes to your Church Match participation for the following year, so you are ready when we ask again!
Prayerfully consider the Church Match Program as a means of supporting families in your church setting. We also encourage you to distribute scholarship applications to families who may need additional financial support.

Note that this form goes to Highland's bookkeeper, who will respond to your message on the next day she is in the office (Tuesdays and Fridays for most of the year, with additional days in the spring and summer).
