This week has passed

This week is designed for campers in middle or high school who will enjoy fun-filled days that will start and end a bit later. Topics addressed in the evening worship times will be relevant to teens’ lives, and campers will have opportunities to build positive relationships with God, staff, and other campers.

What makes this week different from the 11-13 age group? The 12-15 age group will enjoy a day trip to Seneca Rocks, West Virginia, where campers will have several special activities to choose from: rock climbing, horseback riding, or hiking. Note that while the hiking option is free, there will be an additional fee for horseback riding or rock climbing; this is a third-party fee that will be paid to Seneca Rocks, and will not be eligible to be covered by scholarships. Each option has a different form (linked in the descriptions below) that is required in order to participate; please plan ahead and bring the signed form with you to registration line on Sunday, July 14.

More details on the day trip options:

  • Trail Hiking—led by Seneca High Adventure Christian Camp staff; no additional fee. Campers will hike to the observation deck of Seneca Rocks and enjoy the scenery. Hiking form pdf (requires a notary signature, which can be done at most banks)
  • Horseback Riding—led by the staff of Yokum’s Riding Stables; additional fee of $50. Spaces are limited. Ride is 1.5 hours in length, with 15 minutes at the top of Seneca Rocks to enjoy the view! Horseback riding form pdf
  • Rock Climbing—led by Lester Zook using NRocks Outdoor Adventures facilities; additional fee of $70. Spaces are limited. If you have further questions about this specific activity, please call the youth office (540-705-0512) and we can put you in touch with Lester. Climbing form pdf
