At the end of last summer, it was clear that one of our humble servants needed to retire. After 13 seasons and more than 2500 mowing hours, we knew that it was time to seek a replacement for our zero-turn mower. Two generous unrestricted gifts that came in during the summer months made the decision to purchase a new mower easy. Test drivers from our mowing team helped us choose between our two finalists and the new zero-turn Grasshopper mower was delivered before winter.
A crew of volunteers mow all Highland’s lawns during each growing season, which makes it even more important to have quality, reliable equipment. Thank you, mowers, and thank you, donors!
Do you enjoy mowing and appreciate Highland? Consider joining the mowing team! The mowing season is typically May to October, and each volunteer generally commits to about 6 hours of mowing every 3-4 weeks.
