Annual Highland Banquet

Thursday, October 26, 2017
Eastern Mennonite High School Dining Hall, 6:00 – 8:00 pm

Join us for a tasty meal followed by a 50 minute program designed to keep members and attenders informed, inspired, and connected to the mission of Highland Retreat.

A freewill offering will be taken in support of the Highland Fund.

Doors open at 5:45 pm; dinner will be served starting at 6:15 pm.

Childcare and a pizza dinner are available for children and youth.

Annual Highland Benefit Auction

Saturday, February 17, 2018 
Eastern Mennonite High School Dining Hall

A key fundraiser for Highland Retreat, the auction helps subsidize tuition for the summer camp program, and funds camp scholarships for families who need additional tuition support.

Doors open at 7:45 am for concessions and the silent auction.

The live auction begins at 9:00.

Concessions and a Baked Goods Sale (homemade and fresh) will occur throughout.

Serve and Play Weekend

May 11-13, 2018

Join Highland friends for a service-oriented weekend camp-out. Help Highland prepare for summer, and enjoy a special Mother’s Day weekend with family and friends.

Volunteers are welcome to sign up for the whole weekend, or just for the day on Saturday.

While this event has a family focus, volunteer groups and individuals are also very welcome.

Saturday will be spent doing a variety of work projects, such as grounds clean-up, trail maintenance, stocking firewood, and landscaping flowerbeds. Projects may vary based on volunteer skills and specific needs around the camp property.

Saturday lunch is provided for volunteers, and other meals are offered at a reduced rate, including a special Mother’s Day dinner on Saturday evening. Other evening activities will include worship around the campfire with other families.

Lodging is reduced or free.

Steak BBQ Fundraiser & Staff Commissioning

Saturday, TBD, 2018

Commissioning Service begins at 1:30 pm. 
Support Highland’s summer staff as they are entering a summer of ministry to children and youth.

Rib-eye steak will be served starting at 5 pm. Highland will provide the meat, drink, and potatoes. Please bring a side salad or dessert to share, and a donation to support the summer ministry.

Come early and enjoy a variety of afternoon activities!

For those interested in spending the whole weekend at Highland, please note that campsites and A-frame cabins are available for a reduced rate ($10 for the weekend) on a first-come, first-served basis. Contact the Main Office if you’re interested in securing a spot.

The costs of the weekend are covered by the Highland BBQ sponsors, mostly businesses who generously contributed at least $160.
