The boy’s bathhouse was ready for use by Memorial Day and we couldn’t be more pleased. The bathroom is attractive, full of light, durable, and easy to keep clean. The existing bathhouse was refitted with new counters, fixtures, lights, partitions, and more. The new shower room addition provides privacy with ample space for changing. Just off the pool deck, the lifeguards are enjoying a new guard room while guests now have shaded places to sit and enjoy a treat from the new snack shop.
It was amazing to experience the generous outpouring from contractors, volunteers, and donors working to complete the project in time for summer:
- A retired electrician volunteered his services to wire the entire bathhouse addition.
- An engineer spec’d exhaust fans and duct work for the addition. He then donated them and recruited coworkers and friends to install them.
- A contractor donated and installed tubular skylights within the shower area to provide natural light.
- A youth group painted the block walls, replaced drywall with tile, and set three 30-foot poles for the deck lights.
The stories of generosity go on and on! And the impact of the improvements will be enjoyed for generations.
